Speaking of too much wine

Sunday, April 29th, 2007

Not exactly, but it seems to me that the characters in ‘The Dreamers’ do nothing but talk, screw around, and drink wine.

It makes me feel utterly sick. That sort of lifestyle practically encapsulates everything I am against.

By the way, the high school curriculum in Singapore (meaning the A levels) has about as much breadth as a Soviet grocery store.

I no longer know what I’m doing

My head’s spinning.

WHAT THE F*** AM I DOING ALL THIS FOR?

Is it worth it?

It had better be.

Being!

Wednesday, April 25th, 2007

‘being’ is the title of an exceptionally famous KOTOKO song, known as the second OP of Shakugan no Shana (灼眼のシャナ). I enjoy listening to it for no apparent, but obviously random reason. It features a lot of not-terribly-necessary instrumental which lengthens the song (especially towards the end) but it still rocks!

I’ve decided that A levels are retarded. For the sixteenth time this year. Or is it sixtieth?

Make that the seventeenth (or sixty-first? -.-).

THE GIRLS IN MY CLASS JUST ROCK!!!

It’s like… impossible to dislike any single one of them, be it straight, wavy, or curly hair; rimmed, unrimmed, or absent glasses, frivolous, studious or elegant.

RJ LIFE IS LIKE… STARTING TO ROCK.

(Despite the fact that I can’t seem to gather enough energy to do homework or translate anything…)

THE STARS ARE SO NICEEEEEEEE!!!!

Sunday, April 22nd, 2007

Tonight, that is. ON THE WAY HOME FROM THE TRAIN STATION THE STARS WERE LIKE… SO NICEEEEE!!! I swear I spotted Betelguse [sic?], Vega and Venus and of course, Luna (though the last two aren’t exactly stars).

More random musings… well.

Actually I find it pretty exhausting to pen (or type, in this instance) my thoughts and reflections. It’s a bad habit to avoid writing, I know (sorry Zhongzhong! >.<) but I just don’t have the energy.

On a completely random note, I want a Blackberry.

And I want my riser. There’s no freaking point in having a bowstand, bowcase and limbs without a riser. Unless I do what the coach says and get someone to hold the limbs for me while I draw the bowstring. And the limbs are like, 34 pounds. That’s a good 6 pounds over my current set (on loan from Ongnardo).

I think I need to study for math. Yep. I am so going to fail. *nod*

WTF?

Sunday, April 22nd, 2007

THE OP OF ROMEO X JULIET (AN ANIME, MIND YOU) IS THE TUNE OF ‘You raise me up’ (YES THE JOSH GROBAN SONG) FITTED WITH JAPANESE LYRICS.

WTF???!!!!!

Drunk rants

Sunday, April 15th, 2007

Ok fine I’m not exactly drunk, but keeping in my own self-established tradition of semi-misleading post titles…

It’s my parents’ wedding anniversary today (figure 38 years of marriage), so we went out for a meal together (my parents, my 30-year-old unmarried sister and myself). And of course we drank sake. The hot type. Yep.

I managed to walk in a relatively straight path when I try, so I guess that means I’m fairly lucid.

There are many things I feel like blogging about, but I am just too hopelessly lazy.

So… that’s it. For today, I suppose.

Completely random…

BUT!

I WANT TO SAY A BIG THANK YOU TO MY DEAR COMRADES, WENCH AND PORK!

First they went to war for me. Then we went to war for one another. How many times has it been? Three times, if not four?

They have never deserted me or let me down. And I hope I haven’t let them down as well. More than once or twice, in fact many times they have surprised me with their brilliance and intrepidity.

They are as good as comrades come. But it seems that our adventures together might soon be at an end. Still, IT’S NOT THE END, MY DEAR FRIENDS AND LOYAL COMRADES.

I’ll remember you two always. I’ll always remember that we’ve fought together, won together, and lost together. I’ll never forget the moments when I swelled so much with pride that I could have burst. I’ll never forget the fact that we talked so much crap (if not exactly the content XD) on the way to and back from the lab, or the nervous spells we went through together before, during and after each battle. Having been bled and SEARCHED =) before is an experience of a lifetime.

If I had gone through school without having known the two of you, or have had the opportunity of fighting at your sides, it would surely have been a lesser experience. And by virtue of what we had shared and gone through together, I love you two the way only true comrades can love one another.

If (heaven forbid) a real war (the type involving bullets and grenades and nukes) I’d surely want you two at my side again. Such is the honor of having fought and bled with you two that indeed, it would be an honor to die (for real) with the two of you. Of course, it would be better if we didn’t have to die that way. ^^

THANK YOU, YOU TWO! DON’T FORGET OUR BATTLES TOGETHER, OKAY? WHEN YOU HAVE GRANDKIDS OR SOMETHING DO TELL THEM ABOUT OUR EXPLOITS! IT’S A PROMISE!!!

^^

I feel unusually energetic. I shall make the most of this unexpected bonus to do some work!

:D

Matsu Takako may save the Koreans from oblivion…

Wednesday, April 11th, 2007

Ok fine let me quantify that. To me, Korean women are nothing but arrow-launching machines. If you view Olympic archery videos you’ll understand what I mean.

BUT… MATSU TAKAKO EXISTS! (BoA may be Korean and sort of hot to some weird people but SHE’S NOTHING - BECAUSE SHE CAN’T PRONOUNCE JAPANESE PROPERLY!!!) With her one-quarter Korean ancestry she may be forgiven - BECAUSE SHE’S JUST SO UNBEARABLY UNBEARABLY HOT. And… according to Wikipedia, she’s about the ONLY model in the Japanese modelling industry who did not have to pose in swimsuits. THAT’S THE EXTENT OF HER APPEAL.

OK I NEED TO STOP RANTING. OR ELSE MY HEAD WILL GO KAPOP LIKE A PINATA.
