New Year Gathering (AT 美人 HUIMIN’S PLACE!!!)
I discovered one more thing about my class people today.
Apart from the fact that an astonishingly large number of cute girls happened to be assigned to our class (at current estimate FIVE), some people in class are like, REALLY rich.
That aside, it was pretty fun. Messing up the dough, chopping up cabbage and taking up space in the kitchen were part of the routine. And of course I didn’t play bridge. Or mahjong. I did eat more than a fair share of the dumplings, though.
Apart from talking on the phone (not terribly social, but I had something on my mind), brooding while swinging around on an ancient swing, singing to Jon Yee’s guitar chords, I also did some unusual stuff. Like… play chess. And teaching chess (to He Xuan). Oh did I mention that I played table tennis too? My serves were of course the best.
(BUT GOODNESS GRACIOUS ME HUIMIN’S PLACE IS GIGANTIC ENOUGH TO ACCOMMODATE A TABLE TENNIS TABLE!!!)
It also happens to be Jon Yee’s birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY DARLING SEC-CHAN!!!), so Xiaoxue and some other cute girls were hard at work baking a cake. And someone got the brilliant idea (I mean, it IS sort of brilliant…) of getting the class to write little notes and then adding them to the cake batter. And of course Sec-chan had to peel each one out and open them and read them. I do think he swallowed one by accident, though. ^^ Naturally I scribbled some nice advice in Japanese (which he claims he can’t read because of my bad handwriting - what nonsense!) but I doubt he’s in the right frame of mind to take them. What a pity. Oh well.
Actually my class people are very nice. As in, nice people. Even Huizhen (who’s a femme fatale). Joshua-chan, Desmond-chan and Sec-chan are of course some of the nicest and coolest guys around. Esther-chan was cold as usual, but her outfit gave her double her normal moe points (which by a considerable margin puts her in first place, followed by Xiaoxue the Domesticated who’s almost ready to get herself married off with her more-than-impressive domestic skills). But anyway, back to point, MY CLASS ROCKS. Yep. Sure there are muggers around (though personified by Guan Xinyu), but they’re pretty much fun-loving, unconventional and adventurous people. I mean - people who don’t take PCME or BCME MUST have some sort of unusual, adventurous streak in them, be it out of passion or sheer weirdness. And I am really pretty fortunate to have Sec-chan in the same class (really - much as I like the others he’s the bestest guy around). I guess the batch song was right - I’m not exactly alone (unless I choose to be).
Well, what can I say? I’m really glad that I went. And I somehow hope that my presence was felt (positively, if not neutrally), and would be missed if it were gone. (As a side note, it was great to have had the chance to see Huizhen and Esther-chan all dolled up!!! *but don’t tell them!!!*

I feel so touched. Thanks! And some of the girls should really read this…
